Event Description

How old is Chewbacca? Which U.S. President once went fishing in the Connetquot River? Come share your knowledge about movies, music, current events and more in our first ever County-wide trivia contest! We’ll have three practices and then compete against other teams from libraries across Suffolk County in a Teen Trivia Throwdown! Visit True North for more information and to sign up. The snacks provided may not be suitable for those with food allergies.

Practice Dates: Wednesday, June 26, Wednesday, July 3, and Friday, July 12 from 7:00-8:30 pm
Competition: Saturday, July 13. Time TBA. The competition will be held at the Hauppauge Public Library.

Registration begins June 1 at 9:30 A.M.

To complete registration for this program, please select your grade in September from the drop-down "Grade" menu below.

Teen Trivia Throwdown is to open those teens who are entering grade 9 through completed grade 12 only.

Borrowing Guidelines

Valid Adult Longwood Public Library Card in good standing.
A maximum of three items from this collection may be borrowed at a time.
Equipment & Gadgets are available at the Adult Reference Desk and must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Gadgets placed on hold may be checked out at the at the Circulation Desk when ready for pickup. Equipment & Gadgets may not be returned to the book drop.
If any item is lost or damaged, the full value of the item will be charged to the patron account.
The library has a limited number of items in the collection; if the item comes back late or is lost, the library may not be able to honor reservations.
The use of some items may require precertification or training; if there are any precertification requirements, there will be a link in the item description to the required training.
