General Guidelines
Who can reserve a museum pass?
Adults, 18 years and older, with a Longwood Public Library card in good standing.
How do I know whether to pick up or print out my pass?
The majority of our passes are Print-on-Demand passes that will have a printer icon next to the museum name. Library Pick-Up & Return passes only have the museum name.
Can I renew a museum pass?
No, museum passes cannot be renewed.
How do I cancel my reservation?
Library Pick-up & Return passes may be cancelled online at the Library’s museum pass software reservation page or by calling the Children’s Department at (631) 924-6400, x236. If you are unable to cancel online, you must contact the Children’s Department. Failing to cancel within 36 hours will be considered a "no-show." Two "no-shows" within 60 days will block you from placing reservations for 60 days. Print-on-Demand passes may only be cancelled by contacting the Children’s Department.
What if my museum is closed during the time I have a museum pass?
You are responsible for planning your trip. Be sure to check the museum’s hours before you reserve a museum pass. When requesting a pass, you can click on the “Learn More” link which will then display admission details and a link to the museum’s website.
How often can I reserve a museum pass?
To ensure fair access to the greatest number of patrons, you can reserve a maximum of five (5) museum passes of any type every 30 days. The library reserves the right to limit the number of reservations in periods of high demand. Passes can be reserved up to 30 days in advance. Multiple copies made of the same Print-on-Demand pass will not be honored by museums.
Does a museum pass grant admission to all museum-affiliated events/exhibits?
No, not all events/exhibits are covered by a library museum pass and additional fees are the patron’s responsibility. Please contact the museum directly for more information.
