Program Description

Event Description

Long Island is well known for the extreme storms that can wreak havoc on daily life, but what is the science behind them? Join Dr. Jase Bernhardt, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology, Environment and Sustainability at Hofstra University, as he discusses local weather hazards such as winter storms, tropical cyclones, and thunderstorms, including a discussion of the 2020 hurricane season.

This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting. You can attend this program online or via telephone. The URL and phone number for the "meeting" will be emailed to all registrants before the program.

Not sure how to use Zoom? Take a tutorial with our Tech Librarian Alison.
