Event Description
A National Historic Landmark, the Downs Farm Preserve has 51 acres of scenic woodlands and tidal wetlands. It is the site of the Native American Fort Corchaug and serves as a rich, valuable habitat for birds and other wildlife. Ecologist, Taralynn Reynolds will help us explore the forest ecosystem during the early summer season.
We will meet at the Preserve. You must provide your own transportation. Please dress appropriately for the hike and be sure to use the necessary precautions against ticks.
(Rain date is Friday, June 26)
