Program Description

Event Description

Join our monthly club of passionate teens making a difference for the planet! Through hands-on projects, workshops, and speakers, the Teen Sustainability Club will explore environmental issues, take action in the community, and create innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Let's work together for a greener tomorrow! Participants will earn one hour of community service credit at each meeting.

Cornell Cooperative Extension joins us this month to turn the TSC into pollution investigators as they try to find the cause of the mysterious Bluefish Bay fish kill! First, students are guided through the background data needed to solve this mystery, including a map of the area surrounding Bluefish Bay. Our club will then perform water quality testing of samples taken from Bluefish Bay to find the culprit of the fish kill. This presentation provides our Teen Sustainability Club with essential information on water quality and local sources of stormwater pollution.
