Event Description
Since the late 1800s, summer bungalows were built along the Long Island and Queens shoreline. Nancy Solomon, author and director of Long Island Traditions, examines the reasons why they were built, their architectural designs, and the fate of the two communities of West Meadow Beach in Stony Brook and the bungalows of Far Rockaway.
