Event Description
Join us for a private tour of a 17-acre yarn and fiber farm in Yaphank. They are committed to the well-being of fibered livestock, specializing in llamas. Learn the difference between llamas & alpacas as well as other unique fiber farm facts. Fiber, mohair and wool are the by-products from the animals on the farm. The tour does involve walking the whole farm, so appropriate foot and outer wear is a must. Their store and bathroom facilities are down a flight of stairs and attendees should be mindful of that. Meet at the Long Island Yarn and Farm, 125 Gerard Rd, Yaphank, NY 11980. (631)924-8110 Rain Date Saturday, October 9, 2021 11:30am-1:30pm.
