Event Description
Pick up your Bird Counting Packet from the Adult Reference Desks starting February 1 and join us in the Great Backyard Bird Count!
For four days in February, everyone is invited to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them. You don’t even have to go outside - you can count the birds you see on your feeder while looking out the window!
Tally sheets from the Bird Counting Packet should be returned to the library by February 27 to be included in our bird count. Sponsored by the National Audubon Society, the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Birds Canada, these recorded observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before their annual winter migration.
*Adult WRC: This is a Winter Reading Club eligible program. Attending this program will earn you one raffle ticket for the prize drawings. See an Adult Services staff member for more information.
