Come 'read up a storm!' with our newest book discussion! Join librarians from both the LPL and LJH as we discuss:
Sidetracked by Diana Harmon Asher
For seventh grader Joseph Friedman, middle school is anything but easy. His ADD makes it nearly impossible to focus in class, he’s treated like a misfit by his classmates, and the school bully Charlie seems to find joy in making his life miserable. When a series of misunderstandings lead Joseph to join the school’s cross country team, he befriends new student Heather and things start to look up for Joseph. Will running track help Joseph clear the hurdles of middle school, or will he pass out before he can finish his first lap?
Attendees who read the book and participate in the group book review at the program will receive 3 hours of community service.
This program will take place in the library at the Longwood Junior High School and on Google Meet. A late bus will be provided at 4pm for participants who attend in person, but you must be registered to attend.
