Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling
Although thirteen-year-old Aven was born without arms due to a rare genetic disorder, she has never let her “lack of armage” slow her down. When her adoptive parents get the opportunity of a lifetime, to run an Old West theme park in Arizona, Aven must adjust to life in a new home and a new school. In the midst of navigating her new surroundings, Aven and her new friends, Connor and Zion, get pulled into a mystery involving the theme park’s mysterious owner. Attendees who read the book and participate in the group book review at the program will receive 3 hours of community service.
