Curbside Holds Pickup by Appointment

  • Place holds in the online library catalog for library materials or call 631-924-6400, chat or email us to have a librarian assist you. Not sure what to read? Fill out this What Should I Read Next? form for suggestions from our librarians.

  • When your items are ready, our Circulation staff will notify you to make a Curbside Pickup appointment. Email and SMS notifications are temporarily disabled. If you miss our call you can make your own appointment online here or call us back at (631) 924-6400 x221. Curbside Pickup appointments are available Monday – Friday 10 am – 8 pm and Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.

  • When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, pull your car along the curb in front of the main entrance. If another patron is receiving their items, wait until their pickup is complete before you pull your car up. Wait in your car until the library employee has placed your items on the table and returned inside. Then put on a mask and come to the table to retrieve your items.

  • If you have library materials to return (except Equipment & Gadgets) please return them to the book drop. All items are quarantined before they are returned and may take up to a week to be removed from your account.

  • If you have any questions about your pickup, please call the library at (631) 924-6400 x221.
