Long Island has been a prominent part of our nation’s history, from the colonial times all the way up to modern day America. Over the span of more than two centuries, The United States has fought many wars, and many people would be surprised to know that Long Island has played an important part in most of those conflicts. Learn how Long Island was home to important aspects of the Revolutionary War, the Spanish-American War, World War I and World War II. Join Eco-Photo Explorers as they examine our nation’s wartime history, from a Long Island perspective.
