Event Description

Join the Teen Services Librarians for a brand new book discussion on Zoom especially for teens in grades 9-12! Every two months, we'll discuss a new title and work together to write a letter to the author. This month, we will be reading:

Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

True-crime aficionado Stevie Bell is set to begin her first year at Ellingham Academy with an ambitious plan: to solve one of the greatest cold cases in American history, the kidnapping of Albert Ellingham's wife and daughter. The only real clue was a mocking riddle signed with the frightening pseudonym "Truly, Devious." Sharp and funny Stevie finds herself unraveling two mysteries--one from the past and one from the present--when death revisits the academy and Truly Devious makes a chilling return.

Attendees who read the book and participate in writing a letter to the author at the program will receive 3 hours of community service.

Borrowing Guidelines

Valid Adult Longwood Public Library Card in good standing.
A maximum of three items from this collection may be borrowed at a time.
Equipment and Gadgets are available at the Adult Reference Desk and must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Equipment and Gadgets may not be returned to the book drop.
If any item is lost or damaged, the full value of the item will be charged to the patron account.
The library has a limited number of items in the collection; if the item comes back late or is lost, the library may not be able to honor reservations.
The use of some items may require precertification or training; if there are any precertification requirements, there will be a link in the item description to the required training.
