Reclaim Our Water: Suffolk County's Septic Improvement Grant

Event Description

Nitrogen pollution from cesspools and septic systems has been identified as the largest single cause of degraded water quality contributing to beach closures, restrictions on shell fishing, toxic algae blooms, and massive fish kills. Under the "Reclaim Our Water Septic Improvement Program", homeowners who decide to replace their cesspool or septic system with the new technologies will be eligible for a grant of up to $30,000 from Suffolk County and New York State to offset the cost of one of the new systems. Join us for this presentation to learn how you can qualify for this grant and how it can help our environment.

This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting. You can attend this program online or via telephone. The URL and phone number for the "meeting" will be emailed to all registrants upon completion of registration and also one hour prior to start time.

Borrowing Guidelines

Valid Adult Longwood Public Library Card in good standing.
A maximum of three items from this collection may be borrowed at a time.
Equipment and Gadgets are available at the Adult Reference Desk and must be returned to the Circulation Desk. Equipment and Gadgets may not be returned to the book drop.
If any item is lost or damaged, the full value of the item will be charged to the patron account.
The library has a limited number of items in the collection; if the item comes back late or is lost, the library may not be able to honor reservations.
The use of some items may require precertification or training; if there are any precertification requirements, there will be a link in the item description to the required training.
