Program Description

Event Description

Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is more than simply putting flowers in a container. It is a disciplined art form in which the arrangement is a living thing where nature and humanity are brought together. It is steeped in the philosophy of developing closeness with nature. Join Hiroko & Gerard Senese -from the Japan Center at Stony Brook University- for a demonstration of the different styles of Japanese flower arrangements.

This program will be presented as a Zoom meeting. You can attend this program online or via telephone. The URL and phone number for the "meeting" will be emailed to all registrants before the program.
