Free Wifi and Wireless Printing

Free wifi is available throughout the library. Wireless printing can be used in the Library or from home at the cost of .5¢ for black/white and 25¢ for color.

To Print from Your Device:

1. Download the PrinterOn App

2.Once in the app, search for “Longwood”

3. Select  “black and white” or “color” printer and click the star to save (to add the other printer: search for “Longwood” again, select the other printer and  click the star to save)

4. Locate what you would like to print and enter your email

5. Retrieve printing at the Print Release Station by the public computers


To Print from your Laptop/Computer:

1. Visit our web portal

2. Select printer, enter email and upload your file

3. Retrieve printing at the Print Release Station by the public computers




  • Faxing to anywhere in the United States during regular business hours for 50¢ per page.  We cannot receive faxes or send faxes to an international fax number.
  • 2 photocopiers are available for public use. Cost is 10¢ per page for standard sized paper. Copies made on 11 x 17 paper are 25¢ each. 
  • Quickly convert those old photos with our Kodak Picture Scanner. You can scan up to 25 at a time and save to CD or USB. Stop by the Adult Department for a demo and bring your photos.The Library also has a flat bed scanner and a slide/negative scanner available for public use


The library has 24 computer workstations available for public use equipped with Microsoft Office, Photoshop Elements and access to the Internet.  Two computers are available with large screen monitors. Longwood cardholders get 50 cents worth of free copies per day. Printing costs are 5¢ for black and white and 25¢ for color. Photo ID is required for a guest pass.  Staff are always available in the computer area to answer your questions and assist you.

Computer Classes 

Longwood Public Library offers monthly basic computer instruction on a variety of topics. These classes are available to Longwood Library card holders only.


One on One Help Sessions

Tap into our resources with a free customized technology session that will help you learn about a specific topic that is important to you. Longwood Library cardholders can book one-on-one 45 minute technology training sessions with one of our friendly librarians. 

Our one-on-ones are educational in nature. Students should have a clear goal of what they would like to learn during their session.  Some examples:
  • Download eBooks or audiobooks to a device
  • Set up a Facebook account
  • Move pictures from your phone to your laptop
  • Purchase airline tickets online
  • Do a mail merge in Microsoft Word


Librarians are instructors, not tech support, and cannot troubleshoot/fix malfunctioning laptops/devices or software.Sessions are available at various times during the week.  For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please call Alison at (631) 924-6400 ext 245.

CCTV and Sara Reader

The Library owns a CCTV text enlarger which enlarges reading materials, documents, and photos up to 100 times and displays the image on a television screen in black and white or color. The CCTV is available for use in the Library during regular business hours.
