YALSA’s  YALSA(Young Adult Library Services Association)  Best Fiction for Young Adults Committee presents fiction titles published for young adults in the past 16 months that are recommended reading for ages 12 to 18.

YALSA's  YALSA(Young Adult Library Services Association)  Best Non-Fiction for Young Adults honors the best non-fiction book published that are recommended reading for ages 12 to 18.


The Alex Awards  are given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18.

The Michael L. Printz Award is an award for a book that exemplifies literary excellence in young adult literature.Printz award

The Margaret A. Edwards Award honors a specific work for significant and lasting contribution to writing for teens.

 The Odyssey award is given to the best audiobook produced for children and/or young adults. odyssey award

The Newbery Medal was named for eighteenth-century British bookseller John Newbery. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American literature for children.
