DESCRIPTION: The Long Island Dispute Resolution Center (LIDRC) is a conflict resolution program that helps individuals, families, businesses, and the community at large resolve disputes. LIDRC handles a variety of disputes such as family conflicts (including marital disputes), parent/child conflicts, custody and visitation, school related issues (such as special education mediation and peer mediation), early intervention, and community-related disputes such as neighbor, landlord/tenant, small claims disputes, and lemon law arbitration. Most services free of charge to Nassau and Suffolk County residences.

DESCRIPTION: Provides care for lost, stray and surrendered animal for the residents of Smithtown. Reunites lost animals with their owners and finds new homes for the unclaimed and relinquished pets. Enforces the animal control laws of the township and of the NYS Department of Agriculture.
