ELIGIBILITY: Families with children ages 5-18.
DESCRIPTION: Offers a variety of supportive services to help emotionally challenged children (ages 5-18)
and their families. Services include respite for child, parent advocate; access to a food pantry (members only); 
transportation to vital meetings; parent education workshops; support groups; and social/recreational activities
sponsored by the New York State Office of Mental Health. Call for more information.

DESCRIPTION: Not-for-Profit Organization. A multifaceted agency to help those in need based on 
the principle that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. Coordinates a network of 14 
soup kitchens throughout Long Island, with 23 locations serving over 400,000 meals annually. Also 
runs four emergency shelters for the homeless. Staff provide guests with crisis management, counseling 
and information and referrals. Volunteer help accepted.

St. Frances Cabrini parish office of social ministry uses outreach to offer assistance with food,
clothing, prescription, and rent when funds are available. We also help people with budgeting, life planning, and
advocated with other agencies on behalf of our clients. Although we can only assist people living within our parish
boundaries, we will refer them to the Catholic parish located in the area of their residence. 
We meet with the club
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and work to find solutions so others' problems can be solved.
